Jerry I would like to be encouraged for Seton Hall’s Efforts to try and mcoebe a Big Time School in this conference. When you look at the Pirates playing in one of the best Conferences in all of College Sports and they are going into their second year of being the number two tenent at the Prudential Center. I get excited that my alma mater is working to be the best. But now and then I hear of things occurring that make me feel that Seton Hall still doesnt understand what it takes to get to big time status.I live in Newark and I have been to many of the Sporting Goods Stores. Many of them has Rutgers Apparell as well as many other college Football and Basketball items of other schools, but not Seton Hall. I ask them why and they have told me that they have wanted too but all attempts to establish contacts with the sales people in the Athletic Department has been no response. Here is a chance for Seton Hall to build more of a Big Time fan base surrounding the Prudential Center that will go far beyond the Students and Alumni. Where they could eventually open up the upper level of the Rock and their actions is fueling negative feelings.I really dont understand this institution many times. They ask money from us Alumni to better Pirates Athletics, but they dont take advantages their relationship with the Rock are giving them right now.Jerry I hope when you interview the AD and the coaches for future stories I hope you will delve more into is Seton Hall really looking to be a Big Time participant in the Big East. I would think with all the advantages they have with being in the Big East and in the Prudential Center that should result in additional revenues from Marketing and Merchandising. They have Sporting Goods Store Owners interested.
