During his excellent career basketball coach John Wooden won over 80 percent of basketball games.
John Wooden’s philosophy was based on teamwork. He believed that only great teamwork is the main reason, any game can be won. “Team First” was the credo of his life.
“The main ingredient of stardom is the rest of the team.”
“The best way to improve the team is to improve us.”
“The team with the most talent usually wins.”
“Team spirit means you are willing to sacrifice personal considerations for the welfare of all. That defines a team player.”
“Teamwork is not a preference, it is a requirement.”
“Make sure team members know they are working with you, not for you.”
“Loyalty is a cohesive force that forges individuals into a team.”
“Much can be accomplished by teamwork when no one is concerned about what gets credit.”
“You cannot attain and maintain physical condition unless you are morally and mentally conditioned. And it is impossible to be in moral condition unless you are spiritually conditioned. I always told my players that our team condition depended on two factors / how hard they worked on the floor during practice and how well they behaved between practices.”
“The main ingredient of stardom is the rest of the team.”
“Winning takes talent, to repeat takes character.”
I can’t believe you’re not playing with me–that was so helpufl.
